Dental veneers are a type of cosmetic dentistry treatment that can help improve the appearance of your teeth if they are chipped, damaged, or uneven. They are thin covers that are placed on the front of your teeth, which can help enhance your smile and give you a confidence boost. Dental veneers require minimal preparation and can be completed quickly. Additionally, they provide some protection for your teeth.

What are dental veneers?

Dental veneers are a cosmetic solution made of either porcelain or resin-composite materials that are permanently bonded to the teeth using cement. They are thin, tooth-colored shells that provide a natural-looking restoration, and are most often used for the top front eight teeth.

Advantages of dental veneers include:

  • The procedure to place veneers is less invasive than crowns and implants.

  • They require low maintenance and only a few visits to complete the procedure.

  • Veneers are both cosmetic and protective in nature.

  • They improve your smile and boost confidence.

  • They provide a natural-looking restoration that can last for years.

  • They can be used to correct chipped, broken, pointed, irregular, smaller than other, and discolored teeth that can't be corrected otherwise.

There are two main types of veneers: porcelain veneers and composite veneers. Another type of veneer that is less frequently used is a no-prep veneer. Read more.
